Mediation

Mediation is a structured procedure for solution-oriented conflict resolution in which the parties to the conflict themselves - jointly and actively - develop concrete solutions to their issues in need of settlement.

The mediator accompanies, supports and moderates the mediation process.

Mediation offers the parties to the conflict (mediants) the opportunity to find a lasting good basis and satisfaction for future cooperation, even beyond existing conflicts, by working out solutions together. This opens up the possibility of avoiding lengthy, costly and nerve-racking court proceedings. These often lead to unsatisfactory results over which the conflict parties have only limited influence and which do not take into account the future togetherness.

In the economic sphere, mediation is suitable not only but especially in the following areas:

  • in shareholder disputes
  • in complex construction or IT and software projects
  • in team conflicts
  • on inheritance and bequests
  • in the event of conflicts at the workplace and in the employment relationship
  • in the event of conflicts at the management level
  • in succession planning, e.g. in companies, organisations or craft and industrial businesses.
  • for long-term supplier relationships
